Here are a few of the photos I promised. I’ve got a lot more to come!
Packing… Here I am making a “moving sale” sign. We earned $100 on our moving sale and we were only in business four hours. We were pleased.

Here is a photo of the packing process…the boxes started piling up!
Okay, just more boxes.

I thought this was funny. I took down the baskets that I had stored on a high shelf in my laundry room, and found two socks! Mitchell was a little over-zealous to put his dirty clothes in the hamper. I guess he tossed them and they landed in the baskets. And I thought the dryer really had eaten them! :]

Moving!!

Here’s what I saw for almost 400 miles!!
YAY! We made it into Arkansas! Six hours of our drive was spent in Texas, 30 minutes, in Arkansas. Here’s the “welcome” sign!!
You can see the shape of Arkansas etched in the overpass. The Texas bridges have Texas’s shape etched in them. It was great to see Arkansas! We were getting close now!

I’ll try to post the rest of the story later. Thought you might like these.

Have a great day!

Hi, I don't know if you know me, but I am a McMurtry. I am Tom McMurty's daughter in law from Illinois. I married his son Tommy. Kristi, (my sister in law) found your site somehow and told me about it. I used to have a blog, but I don't have one right now. I love to write, so blogging was a passion of mine. Due to some circumstances, I had to give it up for the time being. I love reading other preacher wive's blogs, though! My father in law is the pastor at Lighthouse Baptist, and my husband is the assistant pastor there. I loved your post about Pastor kids. I feel the same way. In fact, reading some of your posts- we have alot in common! I also have four children, two boys and two girls. we homeschool for kindergarten, and then they go to the small one room ACE school at our church- my husband is the supervisor there. And yes, we are still in love after all these children! I look forward to reading more about you- and by the way, my name is Cassandra. = )

Hi Cassandra! Thank you so much for visiting and commenting! I do know your family, somewhat. As you probably know, I grew up in Ken Graham's church. I've heard Bro. Tom preach quite a few times over the years. I may have met Kristi, I can't recall at the moment. (I'm bad about names and faces!)
If you get a blog, please let me know! I'd love to link to you!;] You can post it here, or email me. I put a link to my email address on my blog.
Thanks again for reading. I look forward to getting to know you better, maybe we can evenmeet someday!:D

Aren't you glad the photos are showing past history? It makes me tired just to look at them and re-live the move so I'm sure they remind you of a lot of sweat and fatigue! The pictures of Arkansas look great, though; the journey was almost ended.

    I love you.

  4. Yay!!!

You posted some pictures! No pictures of the kids coming out of boxes? Or hanging off the rafters? Your slackin'! lol:p As fast as you had to pack and such I am surprised you got any pictures at all. You go Lady!
I am glad that God kept you save even though you had a close call.

We have had another three tornadoes hit down southeast of us. The Lord has kept our district save. Praise the Lord! Many peoples homes are missing shingles and siding only an half mile from us. The old church building didn't have any damage. argh lol But the tree in the back has been dead for awhile and each time a bad storm comes through, huge branches seems to make their way down onto picnic tables. This is the third one the church has lost. Though they were old and ready to be pitched NEway. Other than that no major damages. Even our church members homes weren't even touch even though there were trailers pickup up off their bands and a lot of the trailers skirting.

God Is Good To All Of Us!

Well Lady, kids are swimming in the tubs and I am sure bubbles are somewhat swimming on the floor.;] Hope to write more L8R. Have a great evening!
