Last Sunday, a wonderful lady in our church (whom I affectionately refer to as our resident “Martha Stewart”) offered to bring some treats for the kids in Master Club. She made little bags of candy and some delicious cupcakes for us. Those cupcakes were the best ones I’ve ever eaten! I asked her how she made them and she shared her secrets with me. I wanted to pass those secrets along to you because I love you.

Cupcakes:
Use the Duncan Hines Swiss Chocolate cake mix – it must be the Swiss chocolate!! Follow the directions on the box. (Yep, that’s it.)

Frosting:
8 oz. cream cheese
1 stick butter
1 16 oz. box of powdered sugar

Let cream cheese and butter soften on counter while you prepare the cake mix. Blend all ingredients with a mixer till you reach a frosting-like consistency.

Frost and decorate as desired. Then, enjoy. Give them out to everyone you know and bowl them over with how scrumptious they are. Trust me, the world will love you.

Okay…now I REALLY want a cupcake!!! I’m going to look for that cake mix…I thought all the “chocolate cake” was pretty much the same. Thank you for the secret 🙂

Well…I have checked at two groceries, and I don’t see “swiss chocolate” cake mix anywhere! Maybe it’s a southern thing? I’m still on the hunt…there is one store I haven’t checked yet!

    1. I don’t think so…it’s made by Duncan Hines, so I would think it’d be wherever they are sold. I get mine at Walmart. In Hope, I had to buy it at another chain though. The frosting tastes good on anything though! 🙂
