Lauren turned 8 on August 27th. At first she wanted a swimming pool cake that she saw in a magazine, but then, Scooby–Doo fever set in after her brother got the 3rd season of the original Scooby–Doo series on his birthday! She switched at the last minute to a Scooby–Doo theme. I was able to make this cake for her.
Mitchell turned 5 on August 8th. My how time flies! He picked out this race car cake from a cake decorating book that my Mother-in-law gave me. The other side looks terrible, but this side did ok. Making these cakes is fun, but it can also be stressful with a toddler and an infant underfoot. It is truly an act of love!
