Hello! Thank you for visiting my blog! I’d love to “meet” you, so please comment or email me. My goal for my life is to bring honor and glory to the Lord. I fail Him everyday, but He has never failed me. In a world full of heartache and despair, I want to point others to the One who can give them a home in Heaven for eternity, as well as supply all of their needs, and so much more, on this Earth. I gave my heart and life to Jesus on June 12, 1993. I can’t get over how wonderful my Lord is, to save me, keep me, and love me! I want to give my all in this life to Him.
My life has taken many twists and turns, some have been exciting, and some have been tragic. I have written about some of life’s curveballs here, and others, well, I haven’t. Some trials in life are too painful to share; they are too personal. But I do try to be open and honest about my struggles, interests, victories, and goals here. I hope you will find something here that blesses, helps, or entertains you.
I homeschooled my five children for sixteen years and you can find information about that HERE. Due to several changes in our lives, we decided to put an end to homeschooling in May of 2020. We actually made the decision to quit homeschooling in February of 2020, right before the pandemic sent public school kids home, but it all worked out okay. After devoting my entire marriage to staying home and raising my children, the decision to put them in school also put me out of a job. I wanted to fill my days doing something, so I applied for admission to a local university to get my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I really didn’t know if I would get accepted, be able to pay for it, and be smart enough to pass, but God worked out all of those details for me! You can watch a video about that major life change regarding homeschooling and the reasons behind it HERE, and you can find more information on my college journey HERE. Oh, and that reminds me, I created a YouTube channel before I knew we were done homeschooling, but I am keeping it updated trying to keep it updated with our experiences as a new public school/college family, so please check it out HERE and subscribe!
In August of 2021, our family made a major move from southwest Oklahoma to Northern Michigan when my husband became the pastor of Faith Baptist Church. Again, this was not in my plans, but God’s ways are higher than my ways, and I seek to follow God. I am unsure what the future holds regarding my time – will I finish my degree? (I hope so.) Will I get a job? (Maybe.) Will I survive the Michigan winter? (Unsure.) Please subscribe and stay tuned for answers to all of the above. 🙂
By the way, I’m have been married to my husband, Terry, since 1998. You can read more about that by going to My Love Story. He is my best friend on Earth and I’m so glad I get to ride the river of life with him.
I hope you enjoy your time here!
