I’m so happy to see the month of May arrive! April wasn’t too snappy of a month here. We had several tornado watches, warnings and even some touch downs in parts of our state. We had plenty of cloudy, dreary days. We got some much needed rain, but it came with lots of lightning and thunder, which made sleep difficult. We also had our share of personal trials and storms.

I’m hoping that May will bring sunshine, flowers, fewer allergy problems, and fewer storms, both real and spiritual. However, even in the midst of the storms, God has been very close and for that I’m truly thankful. We felt peace as we beheld the fury outside of our windows – trees swaying, rain beating the windows and thunder shaking the rafters. We also felt peace during the personal trials. We were comforted from His Word, encouraged by friends and uplifted by the prayers of many. If you were praying, thank you!!

May will certainly bring us a few things. We are leaving for a preaching meeting about an hour from here tomorrow. We will get to spend the night with my Mom and enjoy some good preaching at my home church! Also, my sister will be visiting us this coming week!!! She lives in North Carolina, so visits with her are a special treat! What a godly example she is to me and my girls!

Mid-May, we are taking a much needed, long-awaited and long-prayed for vacation! We will be going to Ohio to visit my husband’s family! My kids are so excited to be getting to see Grandma and Granddad! Hubby and I are looking forward to the breather and some new scenery.

On May 17, my sweet Leslie Anne will turn SIX! Where have these years gone…it really doesn’t seem possible. *sigh*

We are also trying to finish up school! I will soon be the mother of a 7th grader, 4th grader and 1st grader. Wow.

I will do my best to blog as often as I can, for the few of you who enjoy reading, but if I’m away for a few days, at least you know why. 🙂

Thank you so very much for being my online friend. Some days, you are my only friends. 🙂

May God bless you and keep you and give a very happy month of May!

HAPPY MAY!!! May 1st would have been my grandmother's birthday. She was such a sweet and funy lady.
We're trying to finish school this month also. Lord willing I'll have an eleventh grader and a sixth grader. *sigh* Where do our babies go? If you get a clue on that, let me know.
What part of Ohio? I was born in Lorain, about thirty minutes out of Cleveland.

OH! I was also going to ask if you read Beverly Hyle's book Life As Viewed From the Goldfish Bowl? I was wondering because of your blog title's tag.
