I spent many happy hours as a child curled up next to my Mom and Dad, listening to them read books to me. We enjoyed a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction. Because of the love of reading (and listening) that they instilled in me, whenever I found an interesting book or story, I often read portions of it aloud to my parents. When I started reading Paul Harvey’s The Rest of the Story, I loved it so much that I wanted to read each chapter to my parents so we could ooo and ahh together! (If you’ve never read that book or More of the Rest of the Story, I highly recommend them!) I ended up reading one chapter aloud each night before bed.

One story that captured my imagination, was documented on the TV series, Unsolved Mysteries. They call it “Lucky Choir”, but I call them “blessed”. As I think about the multitude of blessings that God has showered down upon me, I cannot neglect to thank Him for His protection. Most of us have no idea how many times He has spared us some tragedy, but if you are breathing right now, you can be sure that it’s all because of Him!

I hope you can take a few minutes to view the following video;  It always gives me goosebumps! It’s an amazing testimony of God’s divine protection.

I’ve never been lucky, but I’ve always been blessed!
