Lately, our house has reminded me of the March family household. Remember Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women? And their play, “Rodrigo”? Well, we didn’t have four little women, or a piano to play “Ghosts at Midnight”, but we did have our own show, complete with sets, costumes and even tickets. πŸ™‚ This post is just for me, so I can have a memory of the Basham Family Production Company.Β
Sign says “No food or drike [sic] in the show”

We each had our own tickets. Mine says, “Valerie you are invited to have show Valarie elen Basham the 1st. Laci and Leslie’s show.” Leslie made the tickets, so I was surprised she put Laci’s name first! πŸ™‚ Sweet. Oh, and you can see where our tickets got punched, too! She couldn’t find our single hole punch, so she brought in our three-hole punch. It was cute.Β

As you can see, Matthew was “free”, but I don’t recall that any of us had to pay. πŸ™‚

The first show was called “Cheef” [sic]- here are our actors.
They did a great job, by the way! (And yes, I’m a very biased critic!)
These are photos from the second show, called “Mermaid Rock”. It was a musical. The songs were originals, too! πŸ™‚

Here’s another photo of the sets for the second show. This used to be a normal looking living room.Β

Part of the audience. Matthew was enthralled and wanted to join them. πŸ™‚

I know, my house is a wreck. They got it all cleaned up and put back together, but it just gets to be a wreck again. The good thing about the chaos is that it’s a good sign that my kids are enjoying their lives. They are creating, they are laughing, and best of all, they are making memories.
